Belgrade Lakes ME Meet - September 28th (Sunday)

Ronald Lockwood will host his Belgrade Lakes ME wet meet on SUNDAY September 28th. The meet is held at the Castle Island Campground operated by the Lockwood family.

It is a very picturesque location but landing space is very limited. Call Ron for directions to the meet if you have not attended previously - 207-293-2988 days and 207-293-3150 nights or at lwood@gwi.net

We were informed that ME has a weed sticker program. All boats may need to have a weed sticker displayed on the sides of the bow. They cost $20 for out of state boats. They can be purchased at the ME Turnpike visitors welcome center or online at the following link: ME Weed Stickers If you purchase one online, allow at least a week for mail delivery.

The Safe Running of Boats & Motors
All boats used at a Yankee Chapter AOMCI wet meets must be legally registered, insured and have all safety equipment as required by law. Since safety is a concern for all recreational boaters, the wearing of lifejackets is recommended for all individuals and is required by law in many states for children 12 years of age and under. Laws may also require children 12 and under to wear lifejackets on docks and other areas.

When boating, please act responsibly and obey all rules of the road and local laws regarding speed and noise limitations. Please be sure that all equipment is operated in a safe and respectful manner. The consumption of alcoholic beverages at Yankee AOMCI functions is strictly prohibited.

You must be an AOMCI member in good standing or be the guest of a current member to participate in Yankee Chapter meets.
