Lowell MA Meet - Saturday October 12th 2013
Come join us at the Fall Frolic! More than 5 miles of river to run your antiques on. Lots of river front for landing and a great new paved launch ramp and a porta-potty will be available on site. There will be coffee and donuts at 8-8:30. Lunch will be ordered in - see Gary & Jim for arrangements. Please note: The permit we have been given from the Town of Lowell for this meet specifies a maximum of 25 vehicles. As a result, parking may be a problem, the ramp is technically only for cars with boats & trailers. While it has never been a problem in the past, the meet host has asked that people without a boat be prepared to park outside the ramp area. Also, because of MA park rules, the meet is limited to the display and running of boats/motors. Since we have a great swap meet coming up in Madbury, NH, it shouldn't be a problem to hold off all flea market items until then. Directions: From
the Boston area and North/East: From I-93 take Massachusetts
exit 46. The exit is on the North bank of the Merrimack River. From
the exit, follow Rt. 113 West about 12 miles miles through downtown
Lowell and U Mass Lowell. Then look for the Tyco-MaCom building. The
meet site is the Rourke Brothers ramp entrance across the street. Boats must be legally registered with safety equipment. No alcohol is allowed at Yankee Chapter events.
