Georgetown MA Wet Meet, Saturday March 7th 2009

by Elwood Gin

Larry Conners hosted his 2nd annual Georgetown MA swap meet on March 7th 2009. The weather was excellent for the meet with lots of sunshine and lots of members attending. Swapping and selling in the parking lot was brisk and there were many beautifully restored motors on display as shown in the pictures below. Larry had lots of coffee and donuts available and a large meeting room to warm up. Larry is very enthusiastic about making the event an annual tradition and is already planning for next year.

The highlight of the meet was Bill Andrulitis's talk and demonstration on removing dents from gas tanks. Bill cuts out the bottom and possibly the part underneath the flywheel, and then uses various tools to remove the dents. The cut out part is then welded back in. The result is a tank as good as new. Larry is cooking up another talk/demo for next year but it will be hard to top Bill's talk.

Thanks to Larry C for hosting the meet and providing the photos.
